Pirate Treasure Transport Terror
A downloadable game
Pirate Treasure Transport Terror is my entry for the One-Page RPG Jam 2024. It is designed for one player. The jam’s optional theme was “Transport”, which I incorporated into the game.
You’re a heartless pirate captain trying to recover a treasure-chest hoard that was hidden on an island… well, not you personally – you have crew members for that. You’re supervising. You’ve anchored the boat in a secluded bay to avoid the attention of your enemies while your crew tries to complete the arduous task.
You have 12 hours to recover the treasure and depart before the English sail past on their way to colonise something and catch sight of you. You may lose crew members and treasure in the process but you’ll consider it a victory if at least one person makes it back in time with something valuable.
The game’s format is inspired by Darkshire's One Page RPGs, by Oliver Darkshire. Its content is based on fictional pirate tropes and is not remotely based in actual reality, just the reality in our hearts.
The zipped download package contains a printable PDF version of the layout.
This game was released just in time to meet the jam deadline so I may revisit it in the future to work on the art a little bit more.
To Play You Will Need:
- A pen or pencil.
- Three d6 dice (although you can manage with one).
- Something to write notes on (if not the printable).
