Dex Carlisle (TTRPG NPC)
A downloadable NPC
Dex Carlisle is a non-player character (NPC) for tabletop role-playing games (TTRPG) that I created for the Tiny Library: CCG Jam #2 (SciFi NPC), which required the NPC to fit on a bridge-sized playing card. It is most suitable for a science fiction setting and can be used by a solo player or a group. It is MOSAIC Strict.
Dex Carlisle works for Generex Health in Star City. Star City is technically a space station but if you don't have space stations in your game, or a way to travel to them, you can just message him and he will find you wherever you are (for an additional fee). He can legally acquire various kinds of augmentation devices - including ocular implants, audio augmenters, and dexterity chips - and install them in an operation but it comes with risks.
You (or one team member if you are playing in a group) will be able to take advantage of this service. Decide on the implant you want to install and roll 1d6 to discover the outcome of the operation. If it is a success you can determine what the implant's capabilities and limitations are. If the operation is a failure you will suffer permanent physical damage and will have to decide what that means in the context of your game.
Do the benefits outweigh the risks? Dex Carlisle thinks they do!
The zipped download package contains PNG files of the front and back of the card, as well as a text-only document for those who would like an accessible version.
